There are a lot of nice places to stay in the Shreveport/Bossier City Area.  Of  course,   they cost money, so you may want to look at
the camping stuff over there ------->.

Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Area

A super web site and a good place to camp out.
Only 20 minutes north of town.  Very nice.  Go
north 6 miles on Airline Drive to Linton Road.  Turn right.
Follow the signs 4 miles to the park.

Barksdale AFB. LA

Normally they do not have base quarters available for groups, unless maybe if you know someone.  Some groups have stayed in the NCO Academy gym before.  Just an idea.  I do not have a contact for this option.   For camping on base, Barksdale Outdoor Recreation at 318-456-2679.  They have a nice Fam Camp and camping/picnic sites on the East Reservation.

.

Lake Bistineau State Park

Go I-20E 10  miles east of Bossier City to Exit 33.  Turn right on LA 157S.  Make an immediate left turn on LA 3227E.  Go 2.3  miles and make a right turn on LA 164.  Go 4.5 miles to Doyline.  Turn right on LA 163.  Go 7.3 miles. Turn left into the Park.
