  • I am the clinical director and co-owner of RVPS, an independent clinic and training facility for graduate students in the Master’s program at Arkansas Tech. In addition to administrative duties and private practice, I also supervise graduate students who see therapy clients and perform psychological evaluations.

  • This full-time APA accredited internship operates through the University of Florida’s Department of Clinical and Health Psychology and the Department of Psychiatry. In addition to seeing individual clients for problems including OCD, GAD, behavioral difficulties, and PTSD, I worked on a number of different rotations. This includes a diabetes clinic (focusing on behavioral management of diabetic symptoms), a lipid clinic (focusing on behavioral management and treatment for childhood obesity), child psychology assessment (focusing on developmental and attentional difficulties), pediatric assessment (focusing on transplant and post-operative assessments), inpatient pediatric consultation, pediatric neuropsychology assessment, and pre-transplant evaluations (focusing on bone marrow, stem cell, lung, heart, and liver transplants, as well as pre-surgical evaluations for gastric bypass candidates).

Psychological Associate, Psychological Services Center, OSU (August 2001 to May 2005)

  • Conducted psychotherapy on a clients ages 8 to 53, with problems ranging from anxiety, depression, and chronic pain to ADHD and other behavior problems. I was a co-therapist for two groups designed to improve children’s social skills, one with 4-year-olds and one with 8- to 10-year olds. Performed psychological assessments on children and young adults for a variety of reasons, including intelligence testing, ADHD and LD evaluations, and diagnostic testing for disorders such as Asperger’s Disorder and schizophrenia. Also completed initial intakes on new clients to the center.

Neuropsychology Practicum Student, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, OU Health Sciences Center (August 2003 to May 2004)
Supervisor: Dr. Jim Scott

  • Performed neuropsychological testing on patients ranging from 5 to 59 years old. Assessments were conducted for numerous reasons, including dementia, organ transplant evaluation, Parkinson’s disease, leukemia, and pre- and post-operative assessment of functioning. Duties included assessment, report-writing, and training of new hires.

  • Conducted couples therapy with dating, engaged, and married couples. Worked under a live-supervision model, in which my peers and supervisor observed sessions, with feedback incorporated immediately into session.
